Richard is an Integrative Relational counsellor and holds an Advanced Diploma in Counselling. His approach means he combines and draws from several key styles of counselling, including Psychodynamic, Person-Centred, Transactional Analysis and Gestalt, to provide a comprehensive way of working which he tailors to the needs of the client. His style is warm, empathic and client-focused, whilst professional and respectful. He provides a non-judgmental and safe space in which to talk, explore and reflect upon thoughts and feelings, in order to find ways forward through our difficulties.
Richard provides individual one-to-one counselling therapy to adults and older teenagers. He is experienced in helping people with a variety of emotional and personal issues, including depression and anxiety, relationships, self-image and emotional regulation.
Having attained a Diploma in Mental Health Nursing at King’s College London, Richard built up a strong awareness of working with mental health issues, working as a mental health nurse at Maudsley Hospital London and for the Assertive Outreach Service in Slough. More recently, Richard provided counselling at Onevision Counselling in London, before becoming a valued member of the Invivo Therapies team in 2020.
Richard is a member of the BACP and works within their ethical framework for safe and professional practice. He abides by GDPR Data Protection regulations, holds an Enhanced DBS Certificate and professional indemnity insurance. Richard is currently available daytimes and evenings on* Tuesdays / Wednesdays / Thursdays.
