As a counsellor, Sarah-Jayne holds a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. She adopts an Integrative Person-Centred approach to her therapeutic work, which helps clients to explore and express their thoughts, feelings and perceptions within a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space. Sarah-Jayne’s style is compassionate and empathic, and is client-oriented, meaning she can help people to identify, work through and resolve their issues.
Sarah-Jayne provides counselling to adults, children, teenagers and couples. She has experience of working with a range of issues such as depression, anxiety, addictions, abuse, anger management and trauma.
In addition to being a valued member of Invivo Therapies in Selby, Sarah-Jayne also provides her counselling services to Open Minds Counselling in Scunthorpe, where she works to help clients with wide ranging and complex issues such as OCD, PTSD, anxiety, abuse and bereavement. Previous experience has seen her provide counselling with The Blue Door in Doncaster also, where she gained valuable experience helping victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence to move forward.
Sarah-Jayne is a member of the BACP and works professionally within their ethical framework for safe practice. She is familiar with GDPR Data Protection regulations, holds an Enhanced DBS Certificate and is insured with Oxygen Insurance. Sarah-Jayne is currently available on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
