Heather
MA, BA (Hons), MBACP
Heather is an Integrative counsellor and holds a Masters in Contemporary Relationship Studies. Her approach means she draws from Relational, Systemic and Person-Centred approaches to provide a therapeutic style that can be tailored to the needs of the client. Her style is warm and empathic and puts the client first. Heather professionally and respectfully provides a safe, non-judgmental space in which to talk, explore and reflect upon thoughts and feelings, to best find the ways forward through our difficulties.

Heather provides couples counselling and therapy to individuals, on a one-to-one basis. Her experience includes helping people with a variety of emotional and personal issues, including depression and anxiety, grief and bereavement, trauma, relationships, self-image and self-esteem.

As part of the counselling team at Ongo UK, Heather’s previous experience saw her providing counselling services as part of a charity, where she helped people in the local area of South Yorkshire to find support, improve their mental health and work to alleviate social difficulties. More recently, Heather has provided counselling as part of an extended NHS department at Rotherham General Hospital. Invivo Therapies welcomed her as a valued member to the team in 2022.

Heather is a Registered Member of the BACP and works within their ethical framework for safe and professional practice. She abides by GDPR Data Protection regulations, holds an Enhanced DBS Certificate and professional indemnity insurance. Heather is currently available daytimes and evenings on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
