Matt

As a Humanistic Integrative counsellor, Matt's style is
warm, compassionate, sensitive and creative. He is
supportive and understanding, yet constructively challenging too, and works in an intuitive and holistic way to help clients with a wide range of issues. Matt has extensive experience of working with young people and adults alike, with issues such as self-esteem, anxiety, depression, abuse, trauma, relationships, gender and sexual issues, self-harm and bereavement.

He believes that counselling is a supportive help to us during our challenges and hard times, yet also an enriching experience during which we can learn to better understand ourselves and our lives.

Matt began his role as a counsellor working at an NHS practice in South West London, worked for Number 5 Counselling charity in Reading and held private practice in Twickenham, Middlesex. Upon returning to North Yorkshire, Matt established Invivo Counselling and Invivo Therapies and has now been providing counselling through private practice in the Selby areas for several years. Matt has been a Tutor of Counselling Level 2 and enjoys his role as a peer supervision group facilitator.
Matt is also the founder of SHINE, a project developed in partnership with Invivo Therapies to provide much needed counselling services to children and young adults aged 12-18 in the Selby area:

He is a BACP Registered counsellor and holds full insurance with Holistic Insurance Services. He also holds both an Enhanced DBS Certificate and insurance through Holistic Insurance Services, and abides by GDPR Data Protection legislation.
